Rare Books Classroom (Room 603)

HTML Room 603 is classified as a restricted access space. Primary use is reserved for the Tulane teaching faculty who use the room for display of materials from the Rare Book collection. Secondary use is for monthly Collection Development meetings for HTML bibliographers when needed. HTML bibliographic instruction sessions may use the room when other spaces are not available.
 
The Rare Books Classroom is available for appointments between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and remains locked when not in use. All appointments for use of the Rare Book Display Room should be scheduled by Kathleen McCallister, Library Associate at Rare Books (kmccalli@tulane.edu), who maintains the scheduling calendar for the room. 603 is NOT booked through the open access HTML Google calendar.
 
Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance of need, and faculty must complete call slips for all desired material at least two days in advance of the scheduled session, or otherwise make arrangements with the Rare Books Department.
 
Food and drink are prohibited in the Rare Books Classroom.
